The Long Winter

farmsnowIt was a long winter on the farm.  Storm after storm dumped snow on our fields, fowl and buildings.  Sadly, the high tunnels buckled under all that weight, setting us back for the 2015 season.  The high tunnels are key to getting seeds and plants into the ground ahead of the more general thaw.  Without them, we were watching and waiting for the fields to warm up in their own sweet time.

Snowfarm2Our dedicated team worked tirelessly to preserve our core buildings and we are alive with good growing things in our Greenhouses and Fields.  All this just means we are a little humbled and a little delayed for the 2015 Season.  On the humbled side, we won’t be offering weekly subscriptions this season.  We will continue to provide our beautiful signature boxes as gifts or one off deliveries and hope to be back with weekly runs next year.  We have added an extra day to the Farm Stand and look for a Friday POP UP stand in Seal Harbor this August.  The Farm Stand will have its Grand Opening just in time for Father’s Day on Saturday, June 20th.  Hope to see you there.
